Welcome!
Rennes-les-Bains, a tiny town in a mountain cleft in the Corbières mountains of Languedoc, was considered just another Rennes at the foot of the famous Rennes-le-Chateau for a long time. But now, it is the up-and-coming town of yet more mysteries, partially as a result of the friendship of the priest, Henri Boudet, with the priest of Rennes-le-Château, Bérenger Saunière, in the late 19th century. This village of 180 souls is increasing in popularity all the time. I have many friends who live there or who visit regularly, from as far away as Paris or Monaco.
My name is Val Wineyard and I am a writer. I have written a book devoted to Rennes-les-Bains; the first book ever written about the town in English. It is quite definitive and covers everything from the Celts onwards, and reaches a stunning conclusion. Details of my book? Click here!

It's said that Jesus was buried near Rennes-les-Bains, on this hill.
